Our regional and national portfolios of programmes support this goal via projects targeting refugees, returnees, host communities, internally displaced people and ex-combatants. About the job
Under the supervision of the Country Director, the Protection Programme Manager coordinates protection projects throughout the country, and is responsible for reporting on a monthly basis on all protection activities. This includes being the focal point for cross-border movements, communications and related issues as well as representing DRC to external donors and agencies. The Protection Programme Manager will supervise the professional development of the national protection staff, designing and delivering trainings as needed, providing guidance in the field and ensuring the quality of services provided.

Protection Programme Manager will oversee the implementation of the
various protection-related components of existing projects and will also
serve as project manager when necessary. The Protection Programme
Manager reports to the Country Director for any strategic decisions on
protection related activities.

- Hire, support, appraise and mentor DRC protection staff by identifying clear deliverables and providing training as needed;
- Implement projects in compliance with DRC- and donor requirements when it comes to administration, finance and logistics;
- Monitor protection project expenditures;
- Ensure that the DRC protection programmes are implemented in accordance with DRC standard regulations and operational procedures (e.g. Code of Conduct, HAP Principles, DRC Assistance Framework, DRC Programme Handbook);
