An Exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Manager to work for a leading International Logistics company within their operations in West Africa.
Reporting to the Director of the Africa Region, the successful General Manager will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Full P&L responsibility for the Group's activities in Ivory Coast which include agency, stevedoring, haulage and logistics in Ivory Coast
- Manages and oversees all operations and staff in Ivory Coast
- Develops and builds on existing and new commercial relationships with clients
- Ensures the highest standards for operation, safety and service to existing and new clients to ensure client targets are met
- Closely monitors the operating and financial results against plans and budgets and ensures adequate and timely reporting
Personal Requirements:
- Degree holder or equivalent
- Working experience in shipping/port services business to be able to maximize current business opportunities and to lead and to further develop agency business in Ivory Coast
- Extensive work experience in activities re agency, stevedoring, haulage and logistics
- Commercially astute and proven commercial experience securing new business
- Fluency in French and English is a must
- Excellent communication skills
